The Windham Community Band (WCB) was established in May, 1997. Co-founded by Roanne Copley, Frank Rydstrom, and Bruce Lee (Music Director from 1997 through Oct., 2004), the membership quickly increased from the original eight musicians, and now consists of about 80 total members and includes three performing groups: the Windham Concert Band, the Windham Swing Band, and the Windham Flute Ensemble. The WCB is a volunteer non-profit organization based in Windham, NH. It's parent organization is the Friends of Windham Arts and Recreation. Members range in age from teens to seniors, and come from many walks of life: music teachers, doctors, business people, technical professionals, students, and retirees. They all share a love of music and performance.

The Windham Flute Ensemble directed by David Howard was formed in the spring of 1998 by 4 members of the Windham Community Band flute section. Since then it has grown into a 10-member flute choir with piccolos, C flutes, alto flutes and bass flutes.  The flute ensemble plays an entertaining mix of styles:  swing, patriotic, holiday, marches, traditional songs, light classical, and novelty pieces. The ensemble is open to all flutists without audition.  For more information about joining or booking the Windham Flute Ensemble contact David Howard at 603 965-3842 or via e-mail at musicandcats@comcast.net .

Windham's Swing Band Director is Rob Daisy. .

Rob Daisy is a versatile woodwind musician whose performance styles range from hip-hop to flute sonatas to saxophone concertos and jazz combos. Mr.  Daisy studied with Eric Kloss (saxophone), Pittsburgh Symphony members Thomas Thompson (clarinet) and Ethan Stang (flute), as well as Alberto Almarza  (flute) while receiving his BFA in performance and teaching certification from   Carnegie Mellon University.

For three years Mr. Daisy lived in Hawaii working with  a variety of musical groups. He was a member of Hula Joe and the Hut Jumpers, which won a Na Hanohano Hoku award for Jazz Album of the Year 2000. Mr. Daisy was also a regular member of The Royal Hawaiian Band, the  country’s only full-time municipal concert band. He performed numerous parts including all clarinet and saxophone positions. He also worked with The Motor  City Angels, a 12-16 piece convention band featuring a choreographed horn  section.

Traveling to Hamburg, Germany in 1993 afforded Mr. Daisy the  opportunity to work in the pit orchestras of Sweet Charity and The Phantom of  the Opera, and led to the position of lead alto player in the show bands of Holland America Cruise Lines.

Mr. Daisy has also enjoyed performing with the internationally acclaimed Pittsburgh Symphony. His favorite acts include Rosemary Clooney, The Platters, Marvin Hamlisch, and Patti LuPone. Mr. Daisy was recognizable to devotees of the Pittsburgh club scene from actively performing with local jazz, latin, and funk groups. He has played in numerous Pittsburgh pit orchestras, including Company, Bye Bye Birdie, Anything Goes, A Chorus Line, Brigadoon, Guys and Dolls, Pippin, and Annie. His stylistic flexibility has also been featured in work with Martha and the Vandellas, Peter Noone, Jim Nabors, The Guy Lombardo Orchestra, and the Jack Morgan Orchestra.
